Lorelai/Rory.
I often see my mum and I in Lorelai and Rory. It’s just us two living together and we’re close like they are. My mum irritates me way more than Lorelai does Rory though haha and we argue more (so there’s an aspect of Emily/Lorelai) but the rest of their mother/daughter relationship is pretty similar to ours.
Nobody who is realllllly alike.
An aunty has similar (but not as extreme) qualities to Emily.
A boy I know was very similar to Dean when he was younger.
And my step-grandfather has similar qualities to Richard.
I’ve never quoted it in a conversation but I have gone around the house repeating ‘HE WHAAAAATTT?’ in the style of Lorelai when she quotes Richard as they’re having the big hilarious argument about Rory leaving Yale. Just because it amuses me.

I don’t remember exactly but I think it was mid season 2. I liked Rory and Dean at first then wanted to punch him when he got all clingy and obsessive when Jess arrived. He had the right to really haha but Rory and Jess were so much better.
Lorelai humour wise, and I’ll stick up for myself like she does. I get really irritated when Rory won’t confront Richard or Emily. I want to hit Emily with a mallet sometimes hah. I’m more studious and interested in bigger things than Lorelai though, but not to the extreme of Rory.
